As an alumna Sherry Ault has always been passionate about engaging with students of all ages. She has been eagerly involved with many continuing education opportunities throughout her career, and now she is returning to her alma mater to work with the University of Tennessee Construction Science Program.

The University of Tennessee Construction Science Program is a concentration within the Environmental and Soil Science degree program in the Department of Biosystems Engineering and Soil Science. This degree of study is designed to prepare students for entry into the very broad and diverse range of careers related to construction.

As an Industry Instructor, Sherry will be charged with directing a senior level theory course discussing the vast changes of technology including BIM and VDC. By introducing students to the nation-wide trends of construction technology, they also begin to understand the implications of the changing environment for Designers, Contractors, Owners, and more.

When asked why she has chosen to join this department, she replied, “When I was in college I didn’t have this opportunity. I received a wonderful education in the architecture and engineering department, but I’m happy to see an interest in construction finally present.”

Please join us in congratulating Sherry as she begins this new venture helping to lead the next generation.
